We had such a good time last weekend, I hope you can see it in these pictures. . .you'll also want to check out Linda's blog, she has some there too. We've already started to make phone calls and start planning for next year, so if you're jealous, fear not! We hope to have an even more special retreat for you in 2009--stay tuned for the dates so you can mark your calendars and ask for time off!

My last comment didn't "take"..Yes, Judith, there is a knitting 'Santa'. In fact, there were several..our officers w/ some help from some of our members. You gals did an awesome job! No wonder I haven't wanted to work all week..Just feel like staying home and knitting and working on some of those kits we got in our goody bags!

I spied that lovely watermelon yarn on the drying rack. Mine is behind it. Not my favorite but mine anyway. judith

Janurary Meeting and Announcements

New Meeting Location! effective immediately for our Tuesday Jan 8, 2007 Meeting I feel like we've been in a sweat lodge for the last few months meeting at the Community Center. . .in response to all of the hot flashes and personal fans brought to the meetings, we've chosen a new (and cooler)location. Meetings will now be held at: Fifth Third Bank 1833 Coolidge Berkley, MI 48072 The bank is located on Coolidge near 11 mile. . .on the West side of the road. Great, well lit parking, comfy chairs and no jazzercise music playing during the meeting! BSKG 1st Guest Post

She’s the kind of friend that has all these crazy, great ideas, and somehow, before you know it, you’re smack dab in the middle of something! This friend is the reason that I found myself starting a knitting guild (BSKG) with her a few years ago and found myself president of said guild a few years later. She is also the reason that I started designing patterns. I was just drifting along, calmly knitting away when she said “write a pattern, challenge yourself” That is how I came to write my very first pattern “Etta” which appeared in Lace One Skein Wonders . Now writing a pattern didn’t come easy, there were many mistakes along the way, but I stuck with it and finally I had a pattern I was proud to publish on Ravelry. "Speed Knitting"

Ever seen anyone knit so fast they needed a helmet to protect themselves? Or maybe, the helmet is to protect themselves from the head bashing you do when you've made a REALLY big mistake and need to frog. . .
