Judith presented a Charity Kick-Off program at the BSKG meeting last
night. She has arranged for the guild to make premie caps and
blankets for Providence Hospital in Novi. Let's see what we can
do by the February meeting!

Retreat registration forms were handed out at the meeting.
If you are a guild member interested in going on the April
retreat but did not get a form email
blacksheepnewsletter@hotmail.com for information. All
forms must be postmarked by December 31.

I just want to thank your group, and specifically the person who knitted a beautiful chenille teal and rust hat. I was having a chemo infusion at the U of M Cancer Center today, was wearing the same colors, and was able to cover my bald head with something much nicer and newer than I came in with. Thanks for your time and caring. It means a lot.

New Meeting Location! effective immediately for our Tuesday Jan 8, 2007 Meeting I feel like we've been in a sweat lodge for the last few months meeting at the Community Center. . .in response to all of the hot flashes and personal fans brought to the meetings, we've chosen a new (and cooler)location. BSKG 1st Guest Post

She’s the kind of friend that has all these crazy, great ideas, and somehow, before you know it, you’re smack dab in the middle of something! This friend is the reason that I found myself starting a knitting guild (BSKG) with her a few years ago and found myself president of said guild a few years later. She is also the reason that I started designing patterns. I was just drifting along, calmly knitting away when she said “write a pattern, challenge yourself” That is how I came to write my very first pattern “Etta” which appeared in Lace One Skein Wonders . Now writing a pattern didn’t come easy, there were many mistakes along the way, but I stuck with it and finally I had a pattern I was proud to publish on Ravelry. "Speed Knitting"

Ever seen anyone knit so fast they needed a helmet to protect themselves? Or maybe, the helmet is to protect themselves from the head bashing you do when you've made a REALLY big mistake and need to frog. . .
