Kitty's daughter, Kyla, created five vibrant colors especially for the Black Sheep May 2018 Retreat.
Several retreat committee members got an early chance to knit with this beautiful fingering weight yarn.

We decorated and autographed the swag bag which also contained a portable, standing lamp (including batteries...so thoughtful). Merritt created the retreat button and its motto: Yarned and Dangerous.
Fortunately, no one starved or ate too many fruits and vegetables. Those great knitting cookies made another appearance thanks to Laurie.

May 18th was a wedding day somewhere in the world. We weren't invited. That's okay. We had more fun at the MacMillan Center at Higgins Lake. Didn't we, Kim? Kim?? While most retreaters used Saturday to sit and knit and chat and eat, some chose to galavant all over Northern Michigan to find fiber events and sales. 50% off sales!!!! Just ask Judith's credit card company. Loot and More Loot and the Looters who got it!     Smile ladies, but we do hope to see some of this yarn at next Spring's Yarn Swap. Best part of the annual retreat? Just sitting and knitting and talking and eating and laughing and having a glass of wine.  See you next year!!!!! |
